#ESPEchat is looking to create an advocacy video for quality physical education for elementary schools. Please read below if you'd like to contribute.
#ESPEchat Advocacy Project
#ESPEchat recognizes that the #PhysEd Community is constantly fighting an uphill battle for quality physical education. We hear of stories of schools removing physical education for various reasons. #ESPEchat would like to create an advocacy video demonstrating the importance of quality physical education instruction but we need your help!
We are looking for individuals who will record themselves talking about quality physical education. #ESPEchat will then take the videos and try to make a story out of them. We would like these videos to be under 1 minute in length (to avoid rambling). Feel free to write down what you want to say and read while you are recording. We can also use some videos of your students moving in your class (think of a teacher talking while we are watching kids moving).
Here are the guidelines * Videos need to be 1 minute long * On the video, tell us your name, where you are from (area/state/country), and what grade level(s) you teach. * When finished, upload the video (YouTube, Google Drive, Dropbox) so that we can download it later. You'll need to provide us with the URL.
Things to discuss (feel free to discuss one, or more, of the following ideas) - Why is it important for students to have quality physical education? - Why do we need quality physical education teachers in elementary schools? - Have another talking point?
When finished, send a DM to Matthew Bassett (@physedapps) including the web URL to your video(s). The goal is to complete the project by December, if not before.
